To achieve this, we aim to increase the amount of tree cover in Woolwich Township's urban areas from 16.3% to 32% by 2070. We plan to do this by working with businesses, local government, non-profit organizations, and community volunteers to plant a lot of trees over the next 10 years. This will give the trees time to grow and expand their canopy by 2070.

We will build on the success of the Roadside Tree Planting Project and Elmira Nature Reserve projects, which developed repeatable ways to plant many trees at relatively low cost.
